Biennale College Dance 2015 is open to dancers over the age of 18 with consolidated experience in the techniques of contemporary dance.
The project will include an educational and training programme led by contemporary dance teachers, with the formation of groups composed of dancers led by a guest choreographer. These are courses leading to the creation of short choreographic works that will be presented to the public on the 25th, 26th, 27th and 28th June 2015, as part of the Biennale College Dance 2015 event titled “The dignity of gesture” directed by Virgilio Sieni.
All the original creations will be the result of a period of residency of choreographers and dancers in Venice.
The courses will include:
mornings * : classes in contemporary technique (* except the course held by Claudia Castellucci)
afternoons: the creative phase with the choreographer.

Title of the Creation: DIRTY HANDS AND BEAUTY
Dates: the course will take place in Venice from 11 to 28 June 2015
Participants: the project is intended for dancers over the age of 18 with consolidated experience in the techniques of contemporary dance.
The final phase will include the presentation in Venice of the choreographic piece in the form of a performance open to the public.

RULES FOR PARTICIPATION
The applicants for selection may choose only one course/guest choreographer; they must register on the Biennale website, www.labiennale.org/en/dance/collegedance/ and submit the following material:
1. Curriculum Vitae (200 words max) and two photographs (head and shoulders and full height)
2. Letter of Motivation
3. A video (with link for viewing) that documents the work of the dancers (no longer than 5 minutes)
Application deadline for the selection
The material containing the documentation in digital format must be submitted no later than March 31st, 2015.
The selection will be made at the complete discretion of the choreographers, and the results will be announced to the parties involved on or before April 3rd, 2015.
Payment
Each selected applicant will be required to pay a registration fee of € 70 (VAT included) which must be settled upon announcement of admission and no later than April 10th, 2015.
All costs relative to participation in the training process (travel, room and board, local transportation) will be at the expense of the participant.
Selected applicants will be informed ahead of time of any variation of dates and venues.
